| Roaring Lion |
Just received some awesome news I want to share: this photo of a Lion roaring (while reproducing, actually), is going to appear in an exhibition at FotoZA Gallery in Johannesburg, South Africa. Opening night is June 9.
I took this photo on my recent Kenya trip. One morning we received word that there was a lion couple mating, and we rushed there. Lions mate pretty much continuously for several days, taking short breaks between acts, so we were able to get some photos, even though the Lioness was mostly hidden by the tall grass. Still, the power of the lion when he roars is hard to explain in words. Maybe this photo can start to give you an idea...
