I'm happy to report that this photo titled "Kingfisher Portrait" is going to appear in an exhibition at BSIDE Gallery in Melbourne, Australia. Opening night is January 20.

The Common Kingfisher is the smallest and arguably most beautiful of the Kingfishers frequenting Israel. They're also amazingly capable hunters - catching both fish and insects with their strong beaks. A pleasure to observe!
