| Kingfisher on a Branch |
Happy to report that this photo of the beautiful Common Kingfisher perching on a branch has been selected to be displayed in an exhibition at Matca Gallery in Hanoi, Vietnam. Opening night is June 17.
This is one of my favorite birds, and arguably the most beautiful Kingfisher we can observe in Israel. It's also the smallest and quickest one, so not trivial to catch in the frame. But the effort is well worth it - with the glorious colors, the impressive beak, and lots of attitude! A small wonder of nature!
