Barely a fortnight has passed since I learnt that this photo is travelling to Athens, and then I got the wonderful news that this same photo is also going to be visiting Barcelona! It's going to be displayed in an exhibition at Valid World Hall, opening on April 9!
Common Kingfishers are arguably the most beautiful of the Kingfishers we have in Israel, with lots of character and mesmerizing colors. This particular one is a female - that's easy to observe by the virtue of the bottom part of her beak being red. The males have beaks that are completely black.
