| Sand Wasps Preparing for Sleep |
A couple of Sand Wasps at the end of the day, organizing themselves for some good nights' sleep. They build their nests by digging in the sand (hence the name), lay their eggs inside and sealing it by hammering the sand with a pebble (quite impressive, if you ask me!). Up close they can appear intimidating, but also quite interesting and, dare I say, beautiful.
