Barn Swallows are some of the most challenging birds to catch in the frame. They're so agile, changing direction on a whim, and so small, that actually keeping them in the frame while the fill a significant portion of it is close to impossible.
Sometimes you get a little lucky, like in this photo, where I managed to not only get a sharp shot but the pose is also great, with the wings and tail fully spread. Marvelous!!
