| Pelican Takeoff |
We have tens of thousands of Pelicans going through Israel these days, and it's a sight to behold! If you're lucky you can observe a large group circulating up on the hot air areas. In this photo I went for a more personal approach, photographing a Pelican a split-second after it went airborne from the water. You can still see some water splashes on the back, the extended legs, and the wonderful, determined look. What an impressive bird!
