| Pelican Squadron |
Every year at the end of summer, the Pelicans arrive in Israel. Exhausted from their long flight, they come to rest for a while and eat some fish. They come in huge squadrons (groups of Pelicans are called "squadrons" in English, apparently, and fittingly so), and are an incredible sight to behold! This is just a part of a huge squadron that I had the pleasure of viewing just last week!
What do I like about this photo? The impressive huge birds, in an impressive formation. You can observe how they utilize each other to reduce the wind-drag.
What would I like to improve? I would have liked to get more of the entire squadron, but didn't switch lenses in time...
