| Osprey on the Valve |
This beautiful Osprey was giving quite a show as it was watching the nearby water while standing on the red valve. Ospreys catch fish in their impressively strong legs by diving into the water while in flight and emerging with the helpless catch.
What do I like about this photo? The combination of nature and man-made. An Osprey using man-made objects to its advantage. The background is interesting, and creates a nice contrast with the Osprey so it really stands out. I used an open aperture to create a shallow depth of field, so the Osprey is in focus but the background is blurred out. The amount of detail is pretty large, as well.
What would I want to improve? The pole at the top right I would happily get rid of.
