| Isabelline Wheatear in Flight |
A frequent guest in Israel is the Beautiful Isabelline Wheatear, a small and alert bird. This little beauty is very quick to disappear when spotted, but lucky for me she gave me quite a show of flight the other day. Here we have her in mid air, a split second before she vanished.
What do I like about this photo? The full wing and tail spread, the dynamic pose with the neck stretched and the curious gaze, the feathers moving in the air. I used a fast shutter speed to freeze the action, so even though the bird is moving rapidly, it is sharp.
What would I want to improve? The sky, as always, is somewhat of a boring background. Something green would have been much nicer.
