One of the most beautiful features of Dragonflies are their amazing wings that sparkle in the sunlight. When they're actually spread in an X form, it's really a treat! Especially if the sunlight is coming from the back and the background is dark enough, which makes the Dragonfly light up completely!
What do I like about this photo? The spread wings, the back-lighting (as mentioned above), the clean image. I used an open aperture to create a shallow depth of field, so the Dragonfly is sharp but the (far away) background is completely blurred out. The color contrast between the background and the Dragonfly also makes the latter stand out really well.
What would I want to improve? Very little - maybe more visibility on the bottom-left wing.
