| Dragonfly Eye Conact |
Talking about eye contact in Dragonflies is an exercise in futility - they have so many of them! Still, this Dragonfly definitely angled its head towards me, and looks like it's giving me a stare. With a smile. Wonderful portrait :)
What do I like about this photo? The huge amount of details on the eyes and "face". The (apparent) eye contact. The blurred out background (due to it being very far away, relative to the Dragonfly). The diagonal branch. The interesting composition - the head is not dead center - a bit to the side to create some interest, and the diagonals add more interest.
What would I want to improve? Some more depth of field might have been called for, to get the body in focus as well.
