| Bee-Eater on a Branch |
A European Bee-Eater, one of the wonderful visitors we have in Israel this time of year.
What do I like about this photo? The beautiful bird, in an interesting pose. Standing on a branch covered with snails. The beautiful background, starting at green and gradually becoming sky-blue, which really makes it stand out. I used an open aperture to create a shallow depth of field, so the Bee-Eater and the branch are in focus, but the background is blurred out.
What would I want to improve? I would have liked to be closer, to get more details on the Bee-Eater.
