| Oryx Eye Contact |
One of the most beautiful types of antelopes in Africa is the Oryx. It's large, elegant, with impressive antlers, and a thoughtful look. This one was looking straight at us as it was crossing the road. What a beauty!
What do I like about this photo? The eye contact, and the pose. The overall composition. I used an open shutter to create a shallow depth of field, so the Oryx is in focus but the background is blurred out, making the Oryx stand out more.
What would I want to improve? I would have liked to blur the background out even more (but my lens doesn't have a wider aperture).
