The beautiful African Queen (also known as the Plain Tiger) - a large, colorful butterfly, standing on a flower with the sun shining through it (a little). Part of what makes this time of year so wonderful outside, if you can stand the heat :)
What do I like about this photo? The beautiful pose, and the colors. The amount of details is huge (do enlarge the photo to observe). I used an open aperture to create a shallow depth of field, so the African Queen and the flower are in focus, but the rest is blurred out.
What would I want to improve? The background is a bit boring, and noisy.
