I was waiting for the Bee-Eaters to arrive when a plain housefly landed on my cars mirror. Time to grab a detail shot! They're quite scary when you look close enough...
What do I like about this photo? The huge amount of details - see the eyes, for example, or the "face". The reflection on the surface its standing on also adds some interest, and the pose is wonderful.
What would I like to improve? The fly is not entirely in focus, and that would have been an upgrade. Would probably require focus-stacking, though, which could be an issue with a moving animal...
