| Fighting over a Butterfly... |
These are two European Bee-Eaters, trying to claim a Butterfly. The right one caught the Butterfly, and the left one apparently thinks she should have it. She eventually won, BTW...
This season in Israel is incredible - we have the European Bee-Eaters visiting to nest here, and they're so incredibly beautiful.
What do I like about this photo? The brilliant dynamic pose, with the two beautiful Bee-Eaters ducking it out for the poor butterfly. The curved branch they're standing on also adds some interest to the composition.
What would I want to improve? The background - it's boring and a bit too bright. The colors of the Bee-Eaters would have been even more impressive with a darker, preferably green, background.
