Dragonfly in the Air

Dragonflies are amazing in flight, very agile and quick to change direction. This makes them formidable targets to catch in the frame. This is one successful capture, showing this beautiful blue Dragonfly, in flight, over a water surface.

What do I like about this photo? The challenge of actually catching the Dragonfly in focus, in the air. The color contrast between the Dragonfly, the green-ish water below, and the brown-ish rock in the back. I used the most open aperture I could to blur out the background, so the Dragonfly would stand out in the photo.

What would I want to improve? I needed a faster lens to have an even shallow depth of field so the rock would blur out more. It's too noisy as a background...
