| Licking the Lips |
An intimate portrait of a young deer licking his lips. This tiny deer was just eating, then raised his head to present a perfect sideways angle, with the tongue outside. Lucky me :)
What do I like about this photo? The sideways angle in the midst of licking his lips makes for an intimate portrait. The amount of details is pretty nice. I used an open aperture to create a shallow depth of field, so the Deer is in focus but the background is blurred out, making for nice separation.
What would I want to improve? A less noisy background with a nicer color (green?) would be preferable.
