| Dew and the Snail |
This year saw a lot of rain in Israel, which resulted in lots of dew even after dry nights. This tiny snail among the numerous dew droplets caught my attention. Note how tiny it actually is, and how well it blends with the beautiful water droplets.
What do I like about this photo? The wonderful natural scene, that can be observed first thing in the morning. The snail in an interesting position, grabbing attention even though it's very small in the frame. The beautiful water droplets as well, of course.
What would I want to improve? The background is a bit distracting, since I used a relatively closed shutter (f/10.0) to have both the droplets and the snail in focus. Perhaps a more open aperture with more careful focus would have yielded better results. Alternatively, focus stacking might have helped.
