This is a photo of an Egyptian Goose shaking the water off his wings. The pose struck me - he looks like a Wizard conjuring up some spell! Maybe we'll see him in the next Harry Potter movie?
What do I like about this photo? The incredible pose, with the beautiful Egyptian Goose. The water droplets in the air also add magic. I used a fast shutter speed to freeze the action, and an open aperture to ensure a shallow depth of field, so the Goose is sharp but the background is blurred out. A relatively low angle of view also adds drama to the photo.
What would I want to improve? An even lower angle of view is called for in this photo. A more frontal angle might also have improved this photo.
