Young Baboon in Flight

Young Baboon in Flight

Did you know Baboons can fly? Or at least the young ones can. Sort of...
We met a large group of Baboons at the Masai-Mara nature reserve, and the young ones were playing endlessly. Some of them climbed up a sign and gave us a pretty impressive aerial display - jumping from the sign to a rock nearby. After some failed attempts, I did manage to catch one in the air.

What do I like about this photo? The unusual pose (for a Baboon, at least), and the shallow depth of field (I used an open aperture - f/6.3), where the Baboon is in focus and everything else is blurred out. The background is interesting with the tree providing some color. So overall the composition is good (not perfect - see below).

What would I like to improve? I would have liked the Baboon to not be near the edge of the photo so much. I did not follow him well enough so he was almost out of the frame for this photo. Also, an angle showing the Baboon a bit from the front would have been more interesting...
