Redshanks in Flight

The Redshanks hang around in groups a few tens, feeding off little fish. From time to time, they take of in unison, flying around to search for a new spot. Their synchronized flight is very amusing (and amazing) to watch, as they fly in one direction only to change it rapidly until they're satisfied they've found a suitable location. This photo shows a few of them in mid-air, right above the water.

What do I like about the photo? I managed to shoot it - as noted before they are quick birds, that change direction unpredictably, so just managing to get them in the frame and in focus is no small feat! I like how this photo shows four of them in focus, with the water providing some interesting background that does not steal any glory from them.

What would I want to change? More light would have allowed me to use a lower sensitivity, and more details of the birds would have been visible. Also, a sunny day, or better, the evening of a sunny day, with the sun setting behind them, would have painted this photo in more interesting colors. Alas, it was cloudy when I shout this.
