| Duck in Water |
A male duck showing his beautiful colors. Note the water droplets (he was diving before), and how he reflects nicely in the water. These relatively common birds, who fly away on any small scare, can be quite breath-taking up close.
What I like about this photo? The composition, mostly. The beautiful colors, eye contact, reflection, and water droplets all combine to give a true life photo of this wonderful water bird.
What would I I have wanted to improve? If the water would have been quieter (less waves), the reflection would have been cleaner and clearer. Also, a lower angle would have given a more impressive point of view. The rule with birds on water usually is - the lower you can get, the better the photo.
