| Back-lighted Greater Spotted Eagle in Flight |
This beautiful Eagle was flying so close I have several photos showing only parts of the body! When I zoomed out, I did manage to catch it in its entirety, and what a gorgeous bird it is. To add, the sun was behind (and to the left), so the light shows through the wings and highlights the outline of the Eagle. Just the way I like it!
What do I like about this photo? The back-light makes it possible. I used a high shutter speed (1/2500 second) to freeze the action, so everything is sharp. The pose is interesting, showing the full glory of the bird.
What would I want to improve? A more interesting sky (i.e., some attractive clouds) would have been nice. Also, if the eye would have been clearly visible this would have upgraded this photo.
