| Giraffe Portrait |
Giraffes are such elegant animals, seemingly frail with their long, thin features. they pack a lot of power up close, however, able to kill a predator with a single kick from their long legs. In this photo I present an intimate portrait of a Giraffe we had the pleasure of meeting in Kenya.
What do I like about this photo? It really shows a lot of details of this beautiful animal. The background is interesting, but not too much to distract from the main subject. The curvature of the posture of the neck adds interest to the photo.
What would I have liked to improve? Eye contact would, of course, have significantly upgraded this photo. Also, an even shallower depth of field (which, unfortunately, is not possible with my current equipment) would have blurred out the leaves in the background for even greater focus on the giraffe.
