| Black-Winged Kite in Flight |
One of my favorite birds of prey, the Black-Winged Kite. Also known as the Black-Shouldered Kite, which is a more fitting name for the color combination on this beautiful raptor, this small bird of prey looks very aggressive with the colors and its incredible agility. In a way, it's a slightly bigger Common Kestrel with more interesting colors. Black-Winged Kites have been nesting in Israel for a few years now, so their population is increasing here, for the joy of the bird lovers!
